Meet the team of Mojio here in Sofia. They are in their private office at betahaus.
Mojio is a startup company that aims at becoming the world’s number 1 platform for connected cars. They are the technological backbone for the rapidly growing connected car industry. Now, Mojio isn’t just connecting cars to the Internet, they’re enabling a new automotive ecosystem, bringing together players of all shapes, sizes and forms. Mojio is the key to connecting them all.
and how does it work
They’ve build the platform/software, which is pulling data from an OBD II Telematics hardware device that is connected to the vehicles of some major telecommunications companies users, like T-Mobile (US/Europe), Bell, Telus, Rogers and etc. So, practically how it works – if, for example you are a T-Mobile (or Deutsche Telekom) customer in Germany, you can get your Connected Car device from any T-Mobile shop, it has its corresponding monthly plan to which you subscribe, you plug it in your vehicle, you download our app and you’re good to go.
Once you’re all setup, you’ll see information related to your driving experience and your car’s current state displayed live on your phone.
now an office in Sofia
The company has been founded in 2012 in Vancouver, Canada by some very impressive entrepreneurs like Richard Woodruff, David Shore and Narayan Sainaney. Shortly after that the office in Palo Alto, California has been opened, where we currently have our core engineering team. The most recent location for Mojio was the Sofia office, which started operating as of November, 2017.
Here started with 3 employees and now, several months later we’re still the “Three Musketeers”, but hopefully we’ll grow soon.
betahaus because…
Because Betahaus offers everything a company like ours (I mean the Sofia office) needs.
Since all 3 of us come from the relatively big corporate environment, we all feel different here. And as we all said it in the beginning – “it’s so quiet and peaceful”. It might sound very silly, but it really feels great to be working only being bothered by the noise of your own keyboard 🙂
25 000 devices in Europe
Around the globe, they have more than half a million devices.
milestones
Moving from consumers to partnership with the Telecoms.
The launch of the service in December last year in Germany.
if you are a member of betahaus travel and work
from more than 20 partnership locations worldwide …
